Product Lead
Who are we?
Kato is a fast-growing PropTech company, backed by top-tier VCs, investors, and industry experts. Our mission is to revolutionise commercial property through our all-in-one online platform and extensive industry data. We’re just getting started and are seeking dynamic, confident individuals to join our journey and help shape the future of commercial property.
Role overview
As our Product Lead, you’ll drive the product vision and strategy across Kato while being deeply involved in bringing innovative ideas to life. You will lead, mentor, and guide our Product Managers and Product Owners, ensuring a cohesive, strategic approach to product development. At the same time, you’ll actively contribute to key projects as an individual contributor. Responsibilities & expectations
Strategic Vision & Roadmapping:
- Develop and refine the overall product strategy and roadmap to align with business goals and market opportunities.
- Translate high-level vision into actionable plans that drive product excellence.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead and inspire a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to ensure the team is aligned, empowered, and growing professionally.
Hands-on Product Ownership:
- Take direct ownership of high-impact projects, turning complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions.
- Define and write compelling user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure successful implementation of features.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, and other stakeholders to deliver on product commitments.
- Engage in deep, technical discussions to ensure robust solutions and swift decision-making
Agile Process Champion:
- Lead Agile ceremonies (Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives) and promote best practices.
- Oversee the release cycle, proactively identifying risks and implementing strategies to ensure quality and timeliness.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Use data insights to monitor feature performance, validate decisions, and iterate on products to maximise impact.
- Ensure that both short-term achievements and long-term goals are met through continuous improvement.

Experience & skills
We’re committed to building a diverse team with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. The following skills and experiences will help you succeed in this role:
- 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role overseeing Product Managers/Product Owners.
- Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban) and experience implementing them effectively.
- A track record of successfully delivering complex projects from ideation through launch.
- Strong technical understanding with the ability to engage in and influence detailed technical discussions.
- Experience in the real estate or PropTech sector is advantageous, though a passion for the industry is equally valued.
